Cat Sudue is an Emmy Award-winning writer and producer with over a decade of experience in the news and entertainment industry. She is known for her innovative storytelling, production leadership, and ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. Her career spans both hard news and pop culture, from Capitol Hill to the red carpet. She brings a rare blend of editorial instincts, live-show precision, and creative storytelling to every screen.

Cat served as a segment producer for Entertainment Tonight at CBS, where she contributed to two Daytime Emmy Award wins for America’s longest-running and highest-rated entertainment news show. At ET, she pitched, wrote, and oversaw the editing of daily packages covering breaking news, celebrity interviews, award shows, and major film and TV premieres. She was also a key voice behind ET’s branded segment “Spilling the ETea,” with content that has garnered more than 5 million views on YouTube. Her field reporting includes red carpet coverage at the 2023 and 2024 Academy Awards.

Previously, Cat worked at NBCUniversal’s E! Entertainment as a line producer for E! News, Daily Pop and Pop of the Morning. There, she developed content for three live shows, led cross-coastal editorial teams, and managed all aspects of daily production. She also played a vital role in evolving set design and segment execution for live broadcasts.

Her digital expertise includes serving as Digital Line Producer for CBSN Los Angeles, where she helped launch the city’s first 24-hour streaming news service. She led a team in producing live and on-demand content for mobile and OTT platforms, including breaking news shows that reached nearly 100,000 streams in a single day.

Cat’s earlier work includes producing at FOX 5 in both San Diego and Las Vegas, where she led morning newscasts, raised ratings, and field-produced high-profile political coverage. In San Diego, she was the lead producer for FOX 5’s evening shows, covering stories like the Berlin terror attack and the Chargers’ move to Los Angeles. At KVVU Las Vegas, she contributed to the station’s #1 morning show and booked political guests such as Senator Bernie Sanders and covered Hillary Clinton’s Nevada caucus win.

She also reported from Capitol Hill as a multimedia journalist for WEHT Eyewitness News, where she interviewed senators including Rand Paul and Dick Durbin, and covered major political moments and rallies in Washington, D.C.


Cat began her journalism career in print media, with bylines in the Worcester Telegram & Gazette, The Baltimore Sun, and The Herald-Mail. She also held editorial roles during her academic years and remains active in professional organizations including the National Association of Black Journalists and the Society of Professional Journalists.


A proud first-generation college graduate and alumna of the Bruce Wells Scholars Upward Bound Program, Cat continues to mentor high school students from similar backgrounds. She holds a Master of Science in Broadcast and Digital Journalism from Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Arts in English (Print Journalism) from Morgan State University.
